How to get rid of your Wii games in 10 minutes
If you’re planning to go back to your Wii and your Wii Sports Resort, you might as well start here: go to Wii.com/sports and click on “Wii Sports Resort”.
You’ll then see a link to download the Wii Sports app and launch it, which is a great way to keep your Wii in your pocket for a couple of hours before returning to your main home screen.
But for anyone else who’s looking to give it a try, you can download the latest version of the game from the app store or from the Nintendo eShop, which has the Wii game in its regular lineup.
And while you’re there, you should keep in mind that the game isn’t a Wii exclusive, either, as Nintendo has added a new downloadable expansion pack to the game.
That expansion, called Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, adds two new characters to the mix, including the fearsome Smash Bros (also known as Bayonetta) from Bayonett, and the fearsome Link from The Legend of Zelda.
You can download both of those characters from the Wii U eShop now, with both coming out on September 22.
Super Smash Brothers Ultimate is also compatible with the Wii Classic Controller, the Wii Remote Plus, the Nintendo 3DS XL and the Wii Ultra, as well as the Wii PlayStations and Wii U Pro, Wii U, and Nintendo 3ds XL.
That means you can play Super Smash Boys on the Nintendo GameCube and Wii, Smash Bros on the Wii and Wii Classic, Super Smash Masters on the 3DS and Wii Pro, and Super Smash Ultra on the GameCube Pro and Wii.
Nintendo also has a free app for Wii owners that adds the ability to connect your Wii to your TV and add your own games.
